I am a family member, mother, traveler, diabetes advocate, friend, wife.

My life merged with an autoimmune form of diabetes in early 2021 when my 5 year old daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. I became a part of the #diy #Loop world, forever grateful to the #WeAreNotWaiting community.


I am aware that there are many places and situations in the world where diabetes and other diseases are a matter of life and death. However, this does not change my conviction and the need to add my #voice for "my cause" of the rights and needs of children living with diabetes. In Slovakia. In Italia. Czech Republic, Ukraine... in Europe.


I believe that “Nihil de nobis, sine nobis” #NothingAboutUsWithoutUs applies in the world of diabetes more than elsewhere.


Users of #OpenSource resources in diabetes management must have a significant commitment to learning, understanding technology, processes, algorithms and troubleshooting. I am no exception, and on my way to independence, in addition to processing a lot of information, I meet people in the world of diabetes who are also my inspiration. Admiration for them, on the one hand, and the desire to convey to the largest possible group from our part of the world everything I encounter, on the other hand, brought me here. The place of my psycho hygiene, collection of informations, news, reports about projects, organizations, people who are changing the world.


The center of my interest revolves around type 1 diabetes, an autoimmune chronic incurable disease that in half affects children, but one can be diagnosed at any age. Despite the fact that the incidence of type 1 diabetes is increasing significantly in the world, awareness about it remains extremely low. Because every source of enlightenment counts, get inspired, tell us about others and share what resonated with you here, #PayItForward 🙏.

OPEN project closing conference

February 22. - 25. #ATTD2023 took place in Berlin, Europe. At the16th International Conference on Advanced Technologies & Treatments for Diabetes the HCPs from all over the world learned about innovation in diabetes medicines and treatments, the most cutting-edge technologies, and the latest research. #dedoc voices attending #attd2023  in person For the 4th time #dedoc voices around the globe had access to all the content of the conference. Multi-Stakeholder Meeting on Medical Devices in Paediatric Type 1 Diabetes

On February 21, 2023, a Multi-Stakeholder meeting was held in Berlin to call for ensure access of pediatric patients to medical devices for the management of type 1 diabetes. While in Slovakia the question of using sensors for monitoring blood sugar levels resonates the most in public discussions, top clinicians are demanding more.  In a world where there is already clear evidence of patient health benefits and prevention of complications of this chronic disease, there is no doubt that asking for nothing less than the availability of a wide range of AID systems for diabetes management is meaningless.
